• www.STANYS.org The website for the STANYS organization. You may use this website to gain information on the annual meeting in Rochester, New York, information on activities in your local section,(You would belong to Southeast section), other resources and more.

• http://www.sciencecourseware.com/ Find virtual labs on biology, earth and environmental science. I especially recommend the virtual earthquake lab.
  

• http://imagine.gsfc.nasa.gov/index.html NASA Imagine the Universe website. A tried and true resource.

• http://www2.edc.org/weblabs/WebLabDirectory1.html A resource for games to practice genetics concepts 

• http://www.nsta.org/publications/interactive/nerves/index.html An interactive website on the nervous system from NSTA

• http://animaldiversity.ummz.umich.edu/site/index.html and its sister site http://www.biokids.umich.edu/. These are sites on animal diversity. The first site is more academic and provides excellent information on the taxonomy of the animal Kingdom. The second site is geared for kids in grades 5 and 6 and is an excellent research source. There are many great pictures in both websites

• http://www.srh.weather.gov/jetstream/matrix.htm More great information on weather, including review questions and some activities that could be implemented in the classroom

• http://www.fi.edu/learn/index.php A compendium of information on a variety of topics from the Franklin Institute of Science. This is primarily designed for Philadelphia science teachers, but it has many great links that are useful for all teachers. Search the site for the “bloodmobile” song. Kids love it and remember it.

• http://www.ucmp.berkeley.edu/education/teachers.php A variety of resources from the University Of California Museum Of Paleontology. Lots of Earth Science, but there are some other items as well.

• http://vital.thirteen.org A digital library of multimedia resources from PBS. You must register for use of the site, but it’s free to register
