Climate Change Video Documentary Project

STEP 1 - Climate Science Introductory Worksheet
Each student must complete this
introduction worksheet and hand in by October 21st, 2011
Climate change science article choices/experiences must be made per team of four students.

STEP 2 - Climate Change Science Article Evaluation and Supporting Documents

  1. Teams must read and review Climate Change Science articles(see ICSUSA.org link below) and choose one article that they decide to use for the Climate Change experience.
  2. Student assignments per team must be completed prior to Christmas vaction. 
  3. Teams are encouraged to divide the articles into the same number of students so that each student is responsible for one entire equal amount of video production of the article.
  4. Students(individually) must identify and produce storyboards including exact article text and media to be used(see guidelines) per team.
  5. All media should be saved to thumbdrives or your school accounts for use in the video production.
  6. All original research/documentation/media that is used in the video production must be properly cited in short name (ie NASA) during each scene of use during the video and a complete long name reference must be made at the end of the video and a printed citation with description of each media used separately.  Please follow the Supporting Document Guidelines when compiling supporting documents.

    Here are examples that are very short clips that give an idea of the style of the documentary.

STEP 3 – Story board development and creation of the video documentary

Fully developed storyboard sequence are due by Friday, January 20th, 2012 OR sooner
All text, graphics, video, and audio must be properly cited and from original or public domain sources.

STEP 4 – Symposium Presentation 
Your completed documentary is due Friday, April 6th, 2012.  The final step in the project is to present at the Earth science Symposium scheduled for Monday, April 30th through Wednesday, May 2nd
